My name is Darwin and I am an American expat living here. This website was create to provide information about Ubon from Ubon. A place to share first hand information, views, experiences and observations about Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand. I also want to dedicate this site to the people of Ubon Ratchathani and Isarn. They have been my gracious hosts for the past 6 years while living here and for 6 years prior to that when I was coming here for training while still a soldier.
This is to be a living website. It will grow and change as Ubon and the people of Ubon grow and change. This is a photo of the downtown area of Ubon Ratchathani. It is a growing city and province with an economy based on government, agriculture and retail. A nice place to visit and live. 
Pha Taem is a national park in the far east of the province. In The background of the photo above is the Khong River. Not far is also the "Two Colored River". The Khong and The Mun meet, one with brown water and one with green water.
